When is Amazon Prime Day 2023 in other regions?
Amazon also hosts similar Prime Day events in other regions, like India. But the dates for the sales event differ based on the region. Like the U.S. iteration of the event, we don't know when Amazon plans to hold Prime Day in other markets. Last year, Amazon's Prime Day festivities in India were held on July 23 and July 24.
Will other retailers be participating in Prime Day 2023?
Prime Day 2023 is exclusive to Amazon, but competing retailers have already announced promotions that are set to rival Prime Day. For example, Best Buy will be running a "Black Friday in July" event from July 10 to July 12, 2023. Hundreds of deals will be available through Best Buy, and more will be given to My Best Buy Plus and Total members. These memberships function similarly to an Amazon Prime membership but have some tech-focused perks, like AppleCare+ free for every Apple product purchased at Best Buy. Walmart's version of Prime Day is called "Deals for Days," and it starts on July 10 for Walmart+ subscribers. Starting at 12 p.m., Walmart+ members get access to these sales before anyone else. But, on July 11, these deals will be available to all Walmart customers. The sales event will conclude on July 12 at 7 p.m., the retailer said.
Will there be a second Prime Day event this year?
While Amazon previously hosted Prime Day once per year, it added a second Prime Day-style event last year for the first time. The new special, called the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, was held on October 11 and October 12. However, Amazon doesn't consider this sale to be a second Prime Day. Instead, the company says that the Prime Early Access Sale gives its members "early access" to holiday deals and discounts slated for Black Friday. Again, we don't know whether Amazon plans to hold another Amazon Prime Early Access Sale just yet. If Amazon does bring this event back for another year, it'll likely precede Black Friday by a few weeks.
